Sunset View Farms is located in Ballard, West Virginia. The 70 acre farm was purchased in 2014 by Kelly and Tara Johnson who live there with their two children. Originally, it was purchased as a beef and cattle operation. Starting the summer of 2016, they planted a pumpkin patch to grow & sell pumpkins locally. Pumpkins were sold from the back of a truck in both Monroe and bordering Giles County, Virginia that year. With a wonderful community response the decision was made to open the farm to the public for the first time in 2017. Sugar Run Pumpkin Festival, LLC began first in 2017.
